I allow 60 minutes for your first appointment.

You will have a thorough assessment of your problem to find out  what is causing your pain or symptoms. I will ask a lot of questions about how the problem started, where you feel your symptoms, and what makes them better and worse.

Then I will take a look at the area involved, undertaking a number of special tests (like joint range of movement and muscle power).  I will discuss with you what I think is going on (clinical diagnosis) and explain why you are getting the  problem.

I may use pictures or models of the joints and muscles involved so that you have a clear understanding about what is going on. Please ask as many questions as you like.
Then I discuss how I suggest treating the problem, what techniques I might use, how long it might be expected to take to get better and what you can do at home to help yourself.

This detailed assessment ensures an accurate clinical diagnosis which may in turn reduce the overall number of treatments you require and this will in turn lead to a quicker recovery.

The first session will also involve actually treating the problem as per the plan we have just agreed.

Treatment is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm - please telephone for an appointment:

What Our Clients Are Saying

“I have seen Sue Cooke regularly over the past 15 years with a variety of spinal problems. The treatment she has given me has been highly professional, carefully tailored to my needs and very effective. She has provided incredible support through some really difficult times.”
Mrs. M.V.B.
"I have suffered for some years from shoulder and neck stiffness and aching. My wife suggested I contact Sue Cooke, her physiotherapist for many years. On my first visit, the problem was identified as resulting from poor alignment of head, neck and shoulders. After two sessions of treatment, and by following the programme of exercises specified, the physical discomfort has significantly reduced and posture greatly improved."
Mr. E.B.
